Who We Are
Shanna Meier
Founder & Owner
Physiotherapist
Shanna graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2003. She already knew while in school that she only wanted to work in paediatrics and has been working at the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg since graduation. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Shanna worked for a number of years with the Recreation Division at Manitoba Possible.
She has worked in almost every area of in-patient paediatrics, including the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Paediatric Special Care Unit, the Surgical/Burn/Orthopedic Unit, the Rehabilitation Unit, the General Medicine Unit, Outpatient Clinics (plagiocephaly/Star Clinic), as well as with various neurodevelopmental and orthopedic outpatient populations at Children's Hospital.
Shanna wanted to provide an opportunity for children and families to have better access to private physiotherapy experiences in a setting that was easy and familiar to them. She wanted to give the most optimal opportunity for engagement while having therapists well experienced in paediatric populations, so she created 4 Kids Mobile Physiotherapy to continue her passion. Having 4 kids of her own, she decided to name the practice after them. Her goal is to continue to give back to patients in all settings, devoting her knowledge and experience of over 20 years while continuing to learn and expand her practice.
